To master Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you must embrace a 'rope drop' strategy focused on Pandora – The World of Avatar. If you aren't staying on-site, head straight to Na'vi River Journey or Kilimanjaro Safaris first, as the crowds for Flight of Passage will already be peaked by the time off-site guests enter. If you are an early-entry guest, sprinting to Flight of Passage is the standard move to save nearly two hours of waiting later in the day.

Beyond the headliners, don't overlook world-class entertainment like 'Festival of the Lion King.' This Broadway-style show is a must-do and provides a much-needed air-conditioned break in the afternoon. For thrills, Expedition Everest and DINOSAUR are essentials, but keep in mind that Everest often has a Single Rider line that can bypass a lengthy standby queue if you don't mind your party being split up.

Regarding Lightning Lane strategy, prioritize Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest. Since the park is sprawling, plan your day in 'lands' (Pandora, Africa, Asia, DinoLand) to minimize backtracking. Hidden gems like the Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail offer some of the most beautiful views and animal encounters in the park without any wait times at all.
