Tips for visiting EPCOT
To maximize your day at EPCOT, start with a 'Rope Drop' strategy targeting either Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or Frozen Ever After. If you enter through the International Gateway, Remy is your best bet; if entering through the main gate, head toward Frozen or Test Track. Remember that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind requires a Virtual Queue or an Individual Lightning Lane purchase, as there is no traditional standby line. Aim to book your first Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Frozen Ever After or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, as these sell out the fastest.
Don't overlook the 'edutainment' roots of the park. Spaceship Earth and Living with the Land are classic attractions with typically shorter wait times in the late afternoon. For a unique experience, visit the Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. It’s a beautiful, interactive walkthrough that provides a great sensory break for children and stunning photo opportunities, especially as the sun sets.
Dining is the star of the show at EPCOT. While the festivals offer great snacks, don't miss out on the hidden gems. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion offers incredible sandwiches and pastries for a relatively low price, while Katsura Grill in Japan provides a peaceful atmosphere with views of the gardens. If you want a break from the heat, the aquarium at The Seas with Nemo & Friends is massive, air-conditioned, and houses real dolphins and manatees.
End your night by securing a spot for the nighttime spectacular, Luminous The Symphony of Us. The best viewing areas are around the World Showcase Lagoon. Most guests crowd near the entrance to World Showcase (near Disney Traders), but if you walk further back toward the Italy or Japan Pavilions, you can often find a less congested view with the same spectacular perspective of the fireworks and fountains.
